Ari Lennox
Courtney Shanade Salter, aka Ari Lennox, was born in Washington, D.C. on April 26th in 1991. She's an American musician and singer. She was the first artist to be signed by J. Cole to his record label Dreamville Records. On the 21st of October, 2016 she dropped Pho, her debut EP on the label Dreamville Records. It was at this point that she gained her first recognition. Her debut album Shea Butter Baby was released on May 7, 2019. Ari Lennox has released her music online since 2012, with the release of her first mixtape "Five Finger Discount" and her EP Ariography. The singer continued uploading her songs online throughout 2014 and released her own single Bound. In the year 2015, she performed in Omen's Elephant Eyes Album, which came out on the 21st July. released on the 21st of July. J. Cole asked her to work with him on Rihanna's references. Then, later in the calendar, her songs circulated all over Dreamville. On December 8 that she was signed to Dreamville Records. Backseat was her contribution to the Revenge of the Dreamers II album. In October 21, 2016, she dropped her debut EP titled Pho. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's hit song Change and performed as an opening act for the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in the year 2017. In 2018, Ari Lennox guested on two tracks with EarthGang On Nothing but the Best, and Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox, on the 16th of July in 2018 she released her debut single "Whipped Cream" from Shea Butter Baby. The music video was released on September 5th. Then, on the 9th of November 2018 the singer released two more singles titled 40 Shades of Choke (and Grampa). Two singles more were released on the 11th of November with the titles Pedigree and One. The singer appeared alongside Cole on the Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby On November 16, and then released the song as a solo single on her debut album. The music video premiered on February 20, 2019 to go along with the track. Within a period of a week, the video had more than 3 million views. She was the supporting act for 6LACK on the From East Atlanta With Love Tour during December 2018.
